Photobucket

Reference: Y# 95

Grade: Prooflike BU

Value: 50 Baht

24.7000 gram, 0.9000 Silver, 0.7147 oz. 40mm.

Ruler: Rama IX (Bhumipol Adulyadej)

Obverse: Bust 1/4 left

Reverse: The Buddhist wheel of law, Dhamachakr

Edge: Reeded

Mintage: 60,000 pieces.

This beautifully minted coin is for the 20th year Buddhist Fellowship. This coin is naturally toned and it's really tough to get. This piece originated from a Frenchman who has been keeping this coin for 10 years. Very clear & strong strike with rainbow-like tone. A great piece to add to my collection.

Value: 10 Cents

2.8200 gram, Copper-Nickel, 19.3 mm.

Obverse: Value

Reverse: Parliment house

Note: Varieties exist.

Mintage: 42,000 pieces.

Krause catalog stated mintage as 42,000 pieces but local catalog stated 32,000 plus pieces. This is a scarce piece of coin as mostly recalled & melted by Bank Negara Malaysia to make new coins.

I've searched myself on a few big bucket of coins and haven't found any, same as my friends & relatives, it's really hard to be found unless bought it from a coin dealer or collector.
